  Climbing Pequeño Alpamayo (Marcelo André)

"Pequeño" means small and it is certainly a small Alpamayo because of its likeness to Alpamayo in Peru. This peak is beautiful, and justifiably popular. From a base camp beneath a crown of snow caped spires we climb through gentle glaciers up to the Tarija peak and observe the scenically figure of Pequeño Alpamayo. In an awe-inspiring world of ice and snow we tackle a spectacular ridge with short steep slopes to sort out safely before reaching the summit of one of the most beautiful peaks in Condoriri National Park.
