Climbing Sajama

"Climb the highest mountain in Bolivia and take the chance to visit the highest desert ins the world"

The glaciated dome-shaped Sajama sits above the immense deserts and lava flows in the Sajama National Park. The steppe desert around the Sajama is home to rare wildlife including: pumas, huemules, viscachas, vicuñas, guanacos, rheas and tattoos. It is an environment of pure Andean magic. You will gain insight into the ancient culture of the Caranga and Aymaran peoples and will seek a spiritual and physical enlightenment in these remote and peaceful spots. We will tackle the steep splintered lava flows to reach a high camp at 5700m. Attempting the snow corridors, rugged rocky passages and ice-pinnacled slopes on the way to summit of the highest mountain in Bolivia will certainly be an unforgettable adventure.
