Condoriri NP is one of the most beautiful areas of glacial wilderness in South America. Its 15 sharp snowy peaks, give place to meadows and turquoise lakes. Llamas and Alpacas (Andean camelids) walk peacefully up on the hillsides. Deers run around on the hills trying to avoid the condors flying above them. It is a pure Andean magic. The locals - called palcoqueños and direct descendents of the ancient nation Paca Jaquis or "eagle men" - are an unbelievably gentle people, proud of their roots and cultural heritage.
